The Chef and joint owner, Abdul Khalique has over 20 years experience cooking the finest Indian cuisine, whilst his partner, Hussein Ahmed also has over 20 years experience running restaurants. Spice is his 4th successful restaurant, the other three being in London.

Hussein is proud that Spice was the first Indian Restaurant in Newbury and Thatcham to bring a more modern feel to the restaurant. This is in contrast to Abdul's style of cooking, using traditional, authentic methods to prepare innovative, mouth watering dishes using spices and sauces that have been created by him to give a range of unique flavours.
